Compatible Bars
Husqvarna bars (3/8″)
The Husqvarna 394XP takes all Husqvarna guide bars with the Large mount, 3/8″ pitch and .058″ or .063″ gauge (.050″ fits too, although not specified). The compatible original bars are listed in the three tables below. Recommended bar lengths are 18″ to 36″; too short bars greyed out.
A quick selection guide: the X-Force XF-388 bars are lightweight affordable bars and great for occasional use. For heavy-duty use, the solid HT-380 and HT-388 bars with replaceable noses will give the longest service life. X-Tough Light bars are great but more expensive and harder to find, at least yet.

Husqvarna bars (.404″)
When fitted with a .404″ drive sprocket, the 394XP takes Husqvarna bars with the Large mount, .404″ pitch and .063″ gauge. These bars are listed in the table below; the models longer than 36″ are too heavy for the 394XP to run (greyed out).

Oregon bars (3/8″)
Oregon makes a large number of Husqvarna 394XP -compatible guide bars in the D009 mount, 3/8″ pitch and both in .050″ and .058″ gauges. These bars are listed in the two tables below. Models shorter than the minimum recommended length for the 394XP are greyed out.
The AdvanceCut™ (SFH) bars (.050″ or .058″) are probably the best choice for the occasional use, while the replaceable-nose PowerCut™ (EXLD/RND) bars give the longest service life in heavy use.

When fitted with a .404″ drive sprocket, the 394XP takes Oregon bars with the D009 mount, .404″ pitch and .063″ gauge. These bars are listed in the table below.
The replaceable-nose PowerCut™ (EXLF/RNF) bars are the right choice for most applications. The hard-nose DuraCut™ models should be preferred in very dirty butgive the longest service life in heavy use.
