Oregon carries many Stihl-compatible guide bars with excellent price-performance ratio, but finding a compatible bar for your Stihl from Oregon’s massive selection can be difficult. Oregon’s bar finder does not have too many new Stihls, and the bar mount patterns in particular are a real jungle.
I wrote this article to help you in this task. Below, you will find the Stihl-compatible Oregon bars listed in handy tables. The tables are organized by mount, pitch and gauge. I have also done you a favor by excluding bars that are only partly compatible (but which you’ll find on many mount charts).

Oregon mounts for Stihl
The table below lists the Stihl bar mounts and a fully compatible Oregon bar mount. It also indicates which saw size class uses the mount.

Oregon has tens of different bar mounts (tail mounts, mount patterns). A few of them work perfect on Stihl saws, but many are semi-compatible: the mounting slot fits the bar studs, but the oiler holes do not line up, for example. Stick to the above mounts if you want to avoid drilling!

Oregon A074 (for Stihl 3005)
Oregon has Stihl Small (3005) -compatible bars in the A074 mount in two chain pitches: .325″ and low-profile 3/8P (Picco). (Pitches 1/4″P or 1/4″ are sadly not available in A074.)
3/8″ Low Profile pitch – A074
The Oregon 3/8″ Low Profile pitch (3/8LP) is equivalent to Stihl 3/8″ Picco. The Oregon 3/8LP bars fit most entry level gas-powered Stihls from 1.5 to 2.8hp or 25…45cc (MS 170, 171, 180, 181, 211), compact Farm & Ranch models (MS 193, 194, 201), most electric models (MSE 141…210) and the largest battery Stihl (MSA 220).
The 3/8LP bars come in both .043″ and .050″ gauges and are listed in the two tables below. NB. The 3/8LP does not mix with regular 3/8″. (See original Stihl bars)

.325″ pitch – A074
The A074 (3005) mount, .325″ pitch Oregon bars fit the popular Stihl MS 250 and MS 251 Wood Boss as well as the older 023 and 025. These bars come in both .050″ and .063″ gauge – both work with a matching chain. The bar models are listed in the two tables below. (See original Stihl bars)

Oregon D025 (for Stihl 3003)
Oregon has an excellent selection of the Stihl Medium 3003 -compatible D025 mount bars covering medium-to-large-powered Stihl saws. These bars come in pitches .325″ and 3/8″, listed below.
.325″ pitch – D025
The D025 (Stihl Medium 3003) mount, .325″ pitch bars fit a few popular medium-powered Stihls: MS 261, MS 271 Farm Boss and MS 291, as well as older models 024…028.
Oregon offers lengths from 13″ up to 20″ and three gauges .050″, .058″ or .063″ gauge – all work with a matching chain. Online availability is best for .063″. (See original Stihl bars, Tsumura bars)

3/8″ pitch – D025
The D025 (Stihl Medium 3003), 3/8″ pitch bars fit most medium-to-high-power Stihl gas saws with model number 300 or larger (MS 311, 391, 362, 462, 660, 661, 500i), the largest electric model (MSE 250), and old models 029…066.
Oregon has an excellent offering here: lengths from 15″ up to 42″ and both .050″ and .063″ gauge. The two tables below list the models. (See original Stihl bars, Tsumura bars)
NB. Though compatible, the longest bars in the tables may be too heavy for your saw to run – please check my bar length vs. cc guidelines.

.404″ pitch – D025
Oregon offers D025 (Stihl Medium 3003) mount bars also in the long .404″ pitch. Though no Stihl 3003 saws come with .404″ cutting equipment, this combination can appear in modified saws.

Oregon E031 (for Stihl 3002)
The Stihl Large 3002 mount is nowadays uses in only the largest model: the MS 880 or the updated MS 881. Oregon bars with the compatible E031 mount fit only these monster saws and come in .404″ pitch and .063″ gauge. (See original Stihl bars, Tsumura bars)
